Manhattan Colorectal Cancer Treatment
Colorectal cancer is one of the most common conditions and can be found
and treated in a number of different stages. In most cases, colorectal
cancer will require some type of surgery to reach a complete cure. Other
forms of treatment may also be appropriate in addition to surgery, such
as chemotherapy or radiation.
If the cancer is detected in an earlier stage, there is a high percentage
to completely cure and get rid of the cancer. However, the cure rate is
much lower if it is diagnosed later on.
Common Symptoms of Colorectal Disease
Symptoms of colorectal disease are wide-ranging and variable, and include
pain, bleeding, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, constipation, and weight loss.
Sometimes, diseases of the colon may produce no symptoms.
The first step in diagnosis is a history and physical examination. Other
aspects of the examination that may be employed include endoscopy, ultrasound,
and imaging (such as plain X-rays, CT scan and MRI).
You will need to meet with a Manhattan colorectal surgeon to complete an
